In the year 2015 EUFRAS applied for several project proposals within the Horizon2020 prgram and two of them are already approved - Organic Knowledge Network Arable and Fertinnowa.

  • Organic Knowledge Network Arable overall aim is to improve the exchange of innovative and traditional knowledge among farmers, farm advisers and scientists to increase productivity and quality in organic arable cropping all over Europe, in order to satisfy future market demand.

  • The main objective of the FERTINNOWA thematic network is to create a meta-knowledge database on innovative technologies and practices for fertigation of horticultural crops.

On 17th of June EUFRAS held a seminar which addressed the future directions of Society`s development. This event was significant by the fact that on the 15th of June EUFRAS Chairman of the Board Tom Kelly and IALB President Edda Albers signed the Cooperation and Usage Agreement on CECRA (Certificate for European Consultants in Rural Areas) between IALB and EUFRAS, which constitutes the basis of the involvement of EUFRAS in CECRA. As it is known, IALB implements consultant trainings after which they receive CECRA certificate, which has now become a quality standard for the German-speaking countries. With EUFRAS participation it is now possible to introduce this educational standard in all over the Europe.

Seven new organizations were admitted into the Society. Currently thirty organizations from twenty one countries are actively working in EUFRAS.
