The 3rd edition of TP Organics’ Organic Innovation Days took place from 15 to 17 November in Brussels, Belgium. The aim of the event was to show the innovation potential of the organic food and farming sector.

The event was attended actors from organic and conventional food & farming sector as well as policy-makers to discuss the latest innovation in agriculture and food, in organics and beyond.
Winners of the Call for Organic Innovations were presented:
• EcoPlant Fertilisers
• Mixed farming of sheep and pigs in the dehesa system
• ICA Climate-guided recipes
Organic Innovation Days also included the OK-Net Arable Final Conference where the best practices to improve yields in organic farming, testimony from three countries was be presented around the themes of mechanical weed control, assessing soil quality with a spade test, green manures and direct sowing was be presented followed by a discussion on knowledge exchange and innovation support in organic farming.
The project has launched in 2016, a web-based platform for organic farming which was be presented at the event also.

On the last day, a brokerage event was organised to help researchers, farmers, and companies in the organic sector to take part in upcoming Horizon 2020 projects.
